ABOUT
Leon Bowers (b. 1981, Melbourne) relocated back to Australia in 2020 after 15yrs abroad. He currently lives and works in Melbourne. He completed his diploma at RMIT University and the Turps painting course in London. To date, Bowers’ work has been the subject of solo exhibitions at Adult Contemporary, Melbourne (2022), On The Floor, London, UK (2019), Exposure Gallery, London, UK (2014) and Tina We Salute You, London, UK (2011) and included in group exhibitions at Brunswick Street Gallery, Melbourne (2022); Hostel Gallery, Melbourne (2021), PADA, Portugal (2020), Otra Casa, Mexico City (2020), PADA, Lisbon, Portugal (2019), Mall Galleries, London (2019) and World of Wonder Storefront Gallery, Los Angeles, USA (2007). He has participated in the Casa Lu Residency, Mexico City (2020) and the PADA Residency, Lisbon (2019). Bowers has also produced several featured works for varied publications, platforms and private commissions since 2001.
